This was my final film produced at NYU. Despite the many, highly-stereotypical challenges I faced going into production (such as my lead actor quitting 12 hours before shooting–after a month of rehearsals–and a shortage of help which forced me to cover too many aspects of this shoot myself), I am pleased with the strengths. The look represents exactly what I was going for and the music, both scored and rights granted, offers a glimpse of things to come. Save for writing a novel about the ups and downs I experienced working on this film, I am happy to include it in my portfolio.
Synopsis: Levi is having a hard time making something of himself; he hasn’t always made the right decisions. Salina has been Levi’s gift from heaven. However, lately Levi’s edges have been wearing her a little thin, like when he got arrested—again. Can Levi say goodbye to Memphis and move forward with his girl, or will he keep doing the same thing forever?
