MTV and Craig Brewer, the director of the Academy Award winning movie “Hustle and Flow,” joined forces to create “$5 Cover,” a musical drama starring exciting up-and-coming artists. $5 Cover is a rough-and-tumble show set in the clubs, bars, and all-night cafes of present-day Memphis. The series follows a cast of young musicians as they fight for love, inspiration, and money to pay the rent. 

Geoffrey Brent Shrewsbury - "Nic" Cast Member Geoffrey worked on both sides of the camera in "$5 Cover," playing the role of Nic and serving the series’ B camera operator.
